I'm surprised you decided to use flash for your new reader. Does this make it slower to load like the page flipping digital magazines?

Actually, the new reader DOES NOT use flash. Everything is done with standard javascript, ajax, and SVG (when built into browsers such as Firefox). It's very fast and works on any browser without any application or plug-in.
