Texterity Introduces Improved Reporting and Tracking System
Dramatically expands ability of publishers
and advertisers to keep current with readers’ interests
SOUTHBOROUGH, MA, March 2, 2005 –
Texterity, Inc., the fastest-growing provider of systems and services
for the creation, delivery, and tracking of digital editions of magazines,
today introduced a substantial set of enhancements for its Texterity
Reporting and Tracking System.
“One of the principal benefits of publishing digitally is
the immediate and detailed insight that publishers and advertisers can gain
into how readers are interacting with the magazines,” said Martin Hensel,
CEO of Texterity. “It allows publishers, editors, circulation managers
and advertisers to stay more closely attuned to what readers want.”
“As a leader of the new generation of digital editions,
we have always offered the most advanced capabilities in this area.
This set of enhancements puts even more powerful, flexible tools in the
hands of our clients.”
New features provided in the system include:
- Improved performance and scalability. A restructured database
now effectively supports generating over a million document page views per day.
- Demographic analysis. In addition to the IP address, ISP and/or
company of origin, highly detailed demographic is now provided. This includes “drill down”
views ranging from continent, sub-continent, state, and city. For North American users,
the system offers additional information such as DMA (direct marketing area) code,
ZIP code, and telephone area code.
- Country, company, and ISP analysis. The data can be sorted to
show which companies read the content of each magazine, with detailed reports
showing all traffic by country of origin. Each reader’s click-stream is shown
with a profile containing the country of origin of the user, the visitor’s ISP,
IP address, and a hotlink to an IP Lookup database. Corporations, government agencies,
and universities are uniquely identified.
- Improved downloading and selection. All reports can be downloaded
into Microsoft Excel or CSV file format. Each client can set specific time periods based
on all data in the tracking database.
The enhancements add to the industry-leading Texterity Reporting and
Tracking system, which is available as part of the Texterity solution. The new capabilities
do not require any additional software to be installed by either readers or publishers.
Current customers will be upgraded to the new features this month.
